The evolution of Memphis and the surrounding area's leading, privately owned Alarm Company is truly a story of continuing success. Way back in the summer of 1976, two long time friends and business associates were working together in the land development business, Robert G. Sanderson and G. Wayne Lowrey were struggling with a development handicapped by the lack of financing. Robert came home to Memphis over a weekend and, just by chance, attended a demonstration meeting about Home Security. He returned to the development site and said, “I’ve found something we need to do." Everyone asked the same question, "What?" Robert said, "I think we need to go into the Home Security Business." Everyone else laughed and said. "You're nuts - we don't know anything about Home Security!" That was 30 years ago this year (2006) and we continue to strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology that gives everyone the best available security in our industry. The Security Professionals is not just our motto, it's our continuing goal.

Protection Unlimited, Inc. was founded in September of 1976 by Robert G. Sanderson, G. Wayne Lowrey, and two others who have since left the company.

Protection Unlimited has literally taken the Security business in Memphis and the surrounding area by storm. Our expertise in sales is legend and we have grown from zero monitoring accounts to in excess of 7500. This success is unheard of in this area.

We attribute our success to a number of factors including quality installations, excellent service and total customer satisfaction. PUI now offers Security solutions including; Total Home Security Systems, Commercial and Industrial Systems, Complete Video Surveillance Systems, Access Systems, and other applications. Annual sales consistently approach one million dollars; 80% of which are referred to us by satisfied customers.
